As of December 2017, Gran Canaria will have another air connection to the Iberian Peninsula, thanks to a new route with Granada by Vueling.

After Madrid, the autonomous community of Andalusia occupies the 2nd position in terms of passengers transported to Gran Canaria, followed by Seville and Malaga. Thus, this new route will help increase the national market and improve the mobility of Gran Canaria citizens to the southern part of mainland Spain.

With this new route, Vueling will connect Gran Canaria to 12 national and international destinations: A Coruña, Barcelona, Bilbao, Granada, Malaga and Seville in Spain, and Geneva, Milan, Nantes, Paris, Rome and Zurich in Europe.
